Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information BizTek collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We've written it in plain language and kept the legalese to a minimum.

Who we are

BizTek ("BizTek", the "App") is an AI-powered, offline-first field-service management application operated by Wartle.Soft ("we", "us", "our"). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@wartle.app.

This Privacy Policy applies to the BizTek mobile applications for iOS and Android and to our associated back-end services. It does not cover third-party services that have their own privacy policies, which are linked below.

Scope & roles

BizTek is a business tool. When you use BizTek, two kinds of data exist:

  • Your account & business data — information about you and your business that you provide when you sign up and use the App. For this data, we act as the data controller.
  • Customer & job data — information about your customers and the work you do for them that you enter into the App (such as customer names, addresses, job notes, and site photos). For this data, your business is the controller and we act as a data processor, handling it on your behalf so we can provide the service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store information about your own customers.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service.

BizTek does not show third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information or your customers' personal information.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
  • To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
  • To synchronize your data across your devices and your team.
  • To generate service reports, quotes, invoices, and PDFs you request.
  • To send operational notifications (for example, job updates and sync status).
  • To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and performance.
  • To respond to your support requests and communicate important changes.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Device permissions

BizTek requests the following device permissions. Each is optional and requested only when the related feature is used; you can change them at any time in your device settings.

  • Camera — to take job photos and scan barcodes for inventory.
  • Location — to stamp field photos with where and when they were taken and to show job sites on a map. BizTek does not track your location in the background.
  • Photo library — to attach existing photos to a job, and to save generated documents.
  • Notifications — to deliver job and sync alerts.

GPS-stamped photos & VerifEye. BizTek can hand off photo capture to VerifEye, a companion camera app, to produce location-and-time-stamped photos. When used, VerifEye returns the photo plus its capture metadata (coordinates, address, timestamp) to BizTek, which attaches it to the job and uploads it to your secure storage. VerifEye has its own privacy policy.

AI features

BizTek's AI service-report feature sends the job details, notes, and related context that you choose to include to a third-party AI provider in order to draft a service report on your behalf. We send only what is needed to generate the report you requested. We do not use your content to train third-party foundation models, and our AI providers are contractually restricted from doing so. AI-generated drafts are suggestions — you should review them for accuracy before sending.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run BizTek. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service to us:

We may update this list as our infrastructure evolves; the current list is reflected in the App's About screen and in the latest version of this policy.

Sharing & disclosure

We share personal information only in these limited situations:

  • With your team. Data you create in a shared business is visible to other members of that business according to their role.
  • With service providers listed above, strictly to operate the service.
  • For legal reasons — to comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
  • In a business transfer — if BizTek is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you and continued protection of your data.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete a record, it is removed from your active data; backups containing it are cycled out on a rolling basis. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with legal, accounting, or security obligations.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) between the App and our servers.
  • Encryption of data at rest on our hosted infrastructure, and platform file protection on device.
  • Row-level access controls so users only reach data belonging to their own business.
  • Hashed passwords and support for Google/Apple sign-in.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your personal information and account (see below).
  • Export a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Much of this you can do yourself within the App. For anything else, email support@wartle.app and we'll respond within a reasonable time. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of your BizTek account and associated personal data at any time:

  • In the App — open Settings → Account and follow the account-deletion option, where available.
  • By email — send a request from your account email to support@wartle.app with the subject "Account deletion request".

On verification, we delete your account and personal data within 30 days, except for information we are legally required to keep. Shared business data may be retained by the business you belong to. See our Support page for step-by-step instructions.

Children's privacy

BizTek is a business tool intended for users who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International data transfers

We and our service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of BizTek after an update means you accept the revised policy.
